God at work

Ecclesiastes 2:24-25 -- A man can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in his work. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment? (NIV)

There may be days when work feels like a curse. There may be other days when you feel great satisfaction in what you do. Believe it or not, both come from God. How can you make God a bigger part of your work life?

This is something that I have struggled with, and I'd like your input.

Whether you're an office worker, or farmer, or construction worker, or medical professional, or race car driver, or professional surfer, or student, or stay-at-home mom... or whatever you do for income...

How do YOU make God a bigger part of your work life?

For a long time I hated having to work. I never understood the purpose to work. I couldn't see it as a survival kit.

Until my life turned to the point I gave up in God. [note, not ON God] I realized that working isn't always that fun. However if I could just look at it as serving people like Jesus would, I began to like to work.

People needed clean dishes to eat. I will serve them by making the dishes clean. People needed to eat, I will serve them by making food. People needed a clean empty trash can to fill it back up with filth, so I will serve them with replacing the full bag with empty ones.

Smallest thing we overlooked, people are out of their way to fix it, serve it and to make us happy. I have always noticed people that seems to be overlooked. Like the janitor at a high school. Kids are too busy to look them into the eyes to say a simple thank you.

Life isn't easy but it is our own choice how hard we want it to be. I have learned that a long time ago but forget it easily.
